BreadLog ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal bread baking journal for iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

BreadLog is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data:

• Recipes and steps — stored locally on your device using SwiftData.
• Photos — recipe photos you add are stored locally on your device only.
• Sourdough starter entries — stored locally on your device.
• Timer data — exists only during your session, never saved to any server.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or any personal identifiers.
• We do not use analytics or tracking tools.
• We do not share any data with third parties.
• We do not have a backend server — all data stays on your device.
• We do not display advertisements.

Photo Library Access

BreadLog requests access to your photo library only when you choose to add a photo to a recipe. Photos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded anywhere.

Notifications

BreadLog may request permission to send local notifications to alert you when a baking timer finishes. These notifications are generated on-device and do not involve any external servers.

iCloud (Optional)

If you have iCloud enabled on your device, your data may be synced across your personal Apple devices via Apple's iCloud service. This sync is governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy at apple.com/privacy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Children's Privacy

BreadLog does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
